Match the program, population and place
Compare the funder’s priorities with the exact program, people served and geographic area in your proposal. Review previous awards when available. They can reveal the size, scope and type of work the funder supports.
Prepare the organization file
Common materials include the determination letter, governing documents, board list, current budget, recent financial statements, program budget, leadership biographies, outcome data and policies requested by the funder.

Plan for reporting before applying
