Refer a Friend Program and Payout Terms

Active Chamber business owners may receive a personal referral link. The link must be used when the referred business owner first joins so the referral can be attributed correctly. Referrals cannot be added, transferred or reassigned after another referral source has already been recorded.

Credits and Cash Rewards

A qualifying new referral earns 25 Chamber Credits. If the referred business owner later completes an eligible paid Chamber membership purchase, the referring business owner earns a cash reward equal to 10% of the amount actually paid for that eligible membership. Chamber Credits and cash rewards are separate. Credits have no cash value.

Eligibility

The referred person must be a new, legitimate Chamber business owner and must use the referring business owner’s personal link. Self referrals, duplicate accounts, false identities, manipulated transactions, fraudulent activity, test purchases and purchases already attributed to another source are not eligible. The Chamber may investigate, reject or correct referral activity when necessary to protect the program.

Holding Period and Payout Date

Every cash reward is held for one complete calendar month. Rewards from purchases completed in April become eligible for payout on June 7. Rewards from purchases completed in May become eligible on July 7. This is a calendar month policy, not a 30 day policy.

Minimum Payout and Rollover

The minimum payout is $100. Eligible balances below $100 remain unpaid and automatically roll forward. Once the eligible balance reaches at least $100 and all other requirements are satisfied, it is included in the next available payout run on or after the 7th.

Refunds and Payment Reversals

Refunds, partial refunds, cancellations, disputes and chargebacks may reduce, delay, cancel or reverse the related unpaid reward. If a payment adjustment occurs after a reward has been paid, the Chamber may deduct the adjustment from future rewards or request repayment when legally permitted.

Stripe Connect

Cash rewards require a completed and active Stripe Connect account. The recipient must provide accurate identity, banking and tax information directly to Stripe and keep transfers and payouts enabled. The Chamber instructs Stripe to transfer only the approved reward amount. A connected account does not provide access to the Chamber’s Stripe balance. If verification is incomplete, the account is restricted or Stripe cannot process the transfer, the reward remains unpaid and rolls forward until the issue is resolved.

Timing, Fees and Taxes

The Chamber initiates eligible transfers on or after the scheduled payout date. Stripe and the recipient’s bank control final processing and deposit timing. Any legally permitted Stripe or banking fees are governed by the applicable provider. Recipients are responsible for reporting and paying taxes on rewards. Stripe or the Chamber may request tax information and issue required tax documents.

Program Administration

The dashboard displays referral activity, unpaid rewards and payout history based on Chamber records. The Chamber may correct clerical or technical errors, suspend participation for misuse and modify or end the program prospectively. Rewards properly earned before a prospective change remain subject to the rules in effect when earned, except when an adjustment is required because of fraud, a refund, a dispute or a legal obligation.
